What I really found liberating was that it's not focused on the amount of pounds you've lost and frequently weighing yourself. Honestly, I haven't weighed myself in weeks! Instead you learn how to lose weight from where you need it most, which for women is generally our tummies, thighs, butts and arms. The exercises are designed just for women, so you don't waste your time and energy working out parts of your body that don't really need it through exercises that are designed more for shaping a man's physique. By focusing on burning fat where you visually need it most, The Venus Factor makes every 5 pounds you lose look like 10. This program isn't about becoming a skinny size 0 model type, because let's face it girls, not everyone has that body type! Instead, you learn how to turn your own body shape into the healthiest, fittest, most attractive version of you.

The workouts in this program are designed to be done 3 days a week at home. You don't need any expensive gym equipment. I love this part because with my schedule, I often never know when exactly I'm going to have the time to squeeze in a workout.

Perhaps my favorite part of this program is the dieting guide, and I use the term dieting loosely. The Venus Factor teaches you about special techniques to increase a woman's metabolism. Special herbs, important vitamins and certain foods will increase your leptin levels (a natural fat-burning hormone) to keep your metabolism high, for the best possible weight loss results. I don't do well with restrictive dieting. I love carbs! I love pizza, ice cream and french fries. I've never been able to stick with a no-carb/low-carb diet because of this. Yes, because this is a weight-loss plan you do have to do some limiting in what you eat and when, but forget about counting calories and starving yourself silly. This is a workout-centric program. You will still have a wide range of foods to eat and will be able to indulge on your favorite sweets and carbs, in moderation of course.

The Venus Factor is only $47. I was already practically spending the same thing for my Zumba classes, but because I wasn't making it to all of my classes I was wasting my money. I canceled my Zumba class and spent the money on The Venus Factor. There was a 60 day money back guarantee so I figured it was worth a try. I didn't have the time for a gym membership, and other workouts I looked into like Brazil Butt Lift and the Insanity Workout ran upwards of $100.

The downside is yes, the workouts are tough. But if you want results, no matter the program, you will have to work at it. If you have any injuries, you might find some of the workouts to be too straining. I injured my knee a few years ago and have had to make some adjustments in the exercises for myself.

Overall I'm very satisfied with The Venus Factor. I went down from a 9 to a 4 in pant size and I'm very happy with the results.
